Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Good food, nice atmosphere (albiet in tecxt vs on beach), great show, a fun luau. Highly recommend! Still alot of $$ for what you get. We tried to book Smith family due to great recomendation and better price but mised out. This was still a good luau. Photo people were rude, just trying to seel you $26 picture with was BS.

The pre-production music and dancing was great. The historical presentation was stellar! My friend and I are dancers/choreographers and have done many shows and we both agree! The lighting, music, singing, dancing, was a finely tuned product. Kudos to all involved! Thank you for making it so memorable!

Tourist trap at best. Very gimmicky. Family of 6, teens and elementary aged children. Food was terrible. Macaroni salad, some type of salsa, chicken, pork, fish; think bad cafeteria style buffet food. I would not say 'authentic Hawaiian' as advertised. Not a big drinker, but can appreciate that the bar was open all night with free flowing drinks: mai tais, rum punch, too sweet in my opinion; wine and beer. There were local vendors before the show, lots of neat stuff for sale. The staff was very friendly. Show was entertaining, but in general over prices and would not recommend.
