Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The food was lackluster. The pork and rice was the only good food. The performance was well done and very enjoyable!

This was a total waste from the moment we stood in line on the ship(booked through NCL) till the end. The most disorganized event yet! They remove the food as soon as it is put down. Sound is terrible. We couldn't hear anything. Its a luau so theres a pig right? We didn't see a pig at all. Guess what they also took that away immediately. 5 bathrooms went down to 4 for over 1,000 people. This is by far the WORST excursion! Please do not waste your money. Also these people do not care about food allergies at all. Get a drink don't put it down on the table cause it will be gone as soon as you look away. Mutilate people at our table had to keep on getting drinks because they just kept taking them. This is awful. I am writing this from the Luau. I just want to get back to ship and not look back. 😩 Now we are listening to country music. I have no idea what these people are thinking.
