Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

We were so looking forward to this evening, and to experience this event, but we were so disappointed. Very expensive for what you received. So many people made seating uncomfortable, unorganised, food was cold, and a great disappointment. Dessert was cleared before we even had a chance to go and get it. We would rather have just had the show which was very good in all ways, and told a story. When we came to leaving It was total chaos.

I was hoping the family would experience more authentic Hawaiin food. Even a little by poi would have helped.

We are sorry to hear that your expectations for the dinner were not met. The kalua pig and lomi lomi salmon dishes originate from Hawaiian culture. Mahalo!

The entire plantation was absolutely beautiful. We selected the train ride along with the luau. Our conductor was so knowledgeable about Kauai history. I learned a lot during that ride! The show was awesome. Beautiful story, well told and choreographed. The fire dancers are always the main attraction! And the hula dancers that performed before the big show were fabulous. I highly recommend this event!
