Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

This is a great activity and experince. Highly recommend! The train ride was great and I absolutly loved it! Great for kiddos and families.

I have attended other luaus and this one is the BEST luau I’ve experienced in Kauai. The grounds are beautiful and Kilohana offers other activities like a train ride, hula lesson, local artisans. The buffet dinner was delicious and the show is spectacular! The choreography, musicians, dancers and singers were professional and wonderful storytellers. You felt as if you were on the ancient journey with the dancers. You were drawn back in time and my husband and I were mesmerized throughout the entire show. The staff were very welcoming and helped you navigate the buffet and desserts. Lines moved quickly. Everything was efficiently laid out - very organized. Mahalo Kilohana and BRAVO!

My family of 18 enjoyed every aspect of this wonderful luau. The grounds, lovely, food very very good, entertainment phenomenal, loved the story, I’d never seen before. My 3 granddaughters & 5 daughters were delighted with the floral lei, as well as myself! Each individual family took photos by a young man, very professional & our group photo hangs on my wall! When booking, I mentioned that there would be 6 children & hoped for good seats, was celebrating my 70th birthday & we were accommodated perfectly. Very well organized. I would highly recommend. Oh, can’t forget about the live music, great musicianship ❤️🌺🤙🏼 🌴
