Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The plantation was great and staff were very kind and helpful. There was always someone guiding us where we needed to go or to answer questions. The show was great and entertaining! The food was good. The bottomless Mai Tai , Blue Hawaiian and other drinks ( virgin and alcoholic) were great. The plantation was beautiful to walk around to shop at local vendors and to take photos.

Have attended several luaus where they had tables filled with food. Was disappointed in the overall food selection. Was at table 413 which was close to the stage so seats were excellent. A family was already seated and had pretty much eaten all the salad when we arrived. Had to chase down the server to get more salad and dressing. Dessert portions were very small and wasn't happy with that. Show was excellent and granddaughter loved the fire dancer. Dancer who wore blue( Not sure of her character name) was superb. Loved her dancing and overall choreography. Felt the luau could have done a few things to improve the experience. Tickets for 5 of us cost over $1000.00.
