Manta Mania - Manta Ray Night Snorkel - doświadczenie w małej grupie w Kona na Hawajach

Przegląd
We carry a maximum of 12 passengers so we can offer a more intimate manta ray snorkel experience than the larger "cattle boats" in Kona.

In addition to delivering a more private experience, our small group size allows for a better manta ray show. Your swim guide will tow your party to the most active areas of the snorkel site, as you hold onto a light board and enjoy the show. Larger groups on bigger boats are often required to stay next to the boat, and can't chase the manta ray action as we do. By locating the most active areas of the snorkel site, you'll have a higher chance of seeing more manta rays.

If you book all 12 seats on any trip, you will have your own private charter.

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to snorkel with manta rays, in a private small-group experience. Get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime!

We lucked into a combination of two extraordinary snorkeling adventures when we set off with Coral Reef Snorkeling Adventures... both on the same day. Our first trip in the morning was the "swim with dolfins excursion." Captain Ron and crew member & snorkel guide Erin took us to several out of the way places, far away from any other nearby tour boats. Our boat was fantastically clean, well appointed and extremely well run. We saw three pods of dolfins, perhaps more than one hundred passing beside us while we were in the water as they moved from north to south along the western coastline. We also saw a manta ray while we while on the boat, cruising between snorkel spots! And all the other, usual snorkeling suspects too! Fabulous event all around. As exceptional as our morning was, we literally had the ' experience of a lifetime' that night when we went out for "night time manta ray snorkeling excursion.' Same boat as the morning, but this time Captain Carl and crew member & snorkel guide Natalie hosted us for this incredible adventure. We head out before dark and get positioned. There must have been eight to ten other tourboat moored beside us. Huge spotlights are sunk to the bottom of the reef, pointing upward to attract the manta rays. Long story short, as it gets pitch black after sunset, the glow from all the multitude of all the many lights, the scuba divers below, all the snorkels on the surface... the overall effect is pure science fiction! Then the manta ray shows up and 'flies' through the lights to get at the plankton! If, for some bizarre reason you only get to do one thing on the Big Island... do the night time manta ray trip with Coral Reef Snorkel Adventures! You will remember this unusual encounter all of the rest of your life... it's that amazing! Thanks Coral Reef Adventures!

This was our 2nd outing with Coral Reef Snorkel Adventures (went with them on a night manta rays adventure in Dec 2012). This time we went on a "swim with the dolphins" trip. We love the smaller size boat & personalized attention you get with the Coral Reef crew. We sailed with Captain Ron & Erin - they were great!!! Took us out for multiple swims with dolphins and found a manta ray and some bottlenose dolphins along the trip as well. They're very accommodating, flexible and fun. And both trips ended with homemade brownies from Ron's wife - yummy! The dolphins were amazing and the crew was great at getting you to them & in the water with them! Why would you want to go with one of the larger, more crowded tours?!? HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will definitely go out with them again!!!

August 15, 2013 My girlfriend and I did both the dolphin snorkel in the morning and the manta ray snorkel at night. You can do both on the same day (which is what we did) or on multiple days. I spent a lot of time researching the crew to use and I can't see anybody being better than Coral Reef! Being a smaller boat only taking a maximum of 6 people (plus the Captain and Guide) is so much better that going out with 20+ people. It is a very personal experience and the crew is more than knowledgeable and helpful making it the best time they can. Snacks are provided (fruit, chips, pop, water, brownies) For the dolphin snorkel we had Captain Ron and Erin (guide) and we couldn't of asked for a better time. Captain Ron knows his stuff and took us to multiple spots keeping us away as best he could from other boats giving us the best chance to swim with the dolphins. Captain Ron also took us to a place where we saw three Manta Rays and three Spotted Eagle Rays as well which was a huge surprise and just amazing to see. We spent well over an hour in the water at three locations and I couldn't hope for anything more. We had Captain Carl and Jessica (guide) for our manta snorkel. It started out with Captain Carl following a few dolphins in the bay heading out for dinner which was really cool to once again see more dolphins (you can't really get enough). We then headed to where the mantas will be. Captain Carl told us that we will wait for a bit before getting in the water so that it gives time for the manta rays to show up and that we don't waste time in the water (we only get 45 min once we get in). So we waited for the cheers from people already in the water and then Jessica took us out. I will say right now THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE I have ever had. We had 16 mantas doing barrel rolls within inches of us with them being the size of small cars are the most graceful creatures to witness. The best advice I can give is have an underwater camera that takes videos, as pictures are tough to get from all the plankton in the water. Anyone who is looking to dolphin or manta ray snorkel can't go wrong with Coral Reef Snorkel Adventures!
