Please ask staff for access to the lift. The second floor is not wheelchair accessible. There are twenty-one steps to the second floor. A photo album of the upstairs is available for visitors who are unable to or choose not to tour the upstairs.

Well worth the visit. The house is beautiful inside, lots of information and friendly guides who were very knowledgeable, one of them named Matthew and another kind gentleman downstairs. Everything is well taken care of and spotless clean. Highly recommend if you are in Lexington. I really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend checking the website before going as they have timed tours and allow only limited guests at a time due to the pandemic.

It was a great experience to take the tour of the Mary Todd Lincoln house. My daughter and I both enjoyed it very much. The guides were very informative and helpful. It’s a trip worth taking if you are coming to Lexington.

My husband and I toured the Todd house on a recent trip to Lexington. It was at the top of our list of things to do while we were there. The tour takes about 45 minutes to an hour if you read everything. The docents were excellent. There was one downstairs and one upstairs and they were both extremely knowledgable about Mary Todd Lincoln and the entire Todd family. We went early, 10:00 in the morning and there were no crowds. If you want to know more about the woman who was married to one of our greatest presidents, you must do this tour. You will learn about her, Lincoln, the South, Kentucky, the Civil War, the city of Lexington, everyday life in the 1800's adn more. Well worth it.
