While in Atlanta, I did two food tours. I still can't decide which one was the best (they were both very different and in completely different parts of the city), but I know for sure John is a great tour guide. The Peachtree Food Tour took place in Midtown Atlanta where we tried some tasty southern food. The portions were perfect and the Sublime burger in particular was amazing. Although our group was large, I felt like John really made a personal connection with everyone. John was funny, friendly and informative and I got a good feel of the food that Atlanta has to offer.

J. - I was thinking that the "World's Best Burger" would be a hit! Most of my teenagers aren't quite sure what to expect on a Food Tour...but after that fabulous first stop, they're anxious to "taste" what ever is next! As a world traveler, exploring what Atlanta has to offer was right up your alley. I know you had a grand time while here so no reason to not come back...and soon! Thanks for taking a moment to write a review of your experience! Safe travel (to wherever it is that you're headed next!) It's a wonderful world out there!

First trip to Atlanta and e wanted to try something fun and interesting the first day. The rave reviews for John's food tour made it the obvious choice and we were not disappointed. The service he provided was second to none, from the phone call and email prior to our trip to confirm us and make sure we had no questions, to the call the day before to warn us to have a light breakfast and not plan an early dinner, to the followup after the tour. And of course the tour itself was nothing short of superb, a lot of fun and down right tasty! Really interesting food and drinks and his information about the neighborhood made us convinced we would return to Atlanta some day and take the tour again! He gave us great advice about places to eat beyond the tour stops, which we tried and he did not steer us wrong. Take this tour-guaranteed you will not regret doing so.

Ian - It was great fun to watch you and the lovely Ms. S. as the Tour progressed and the grins got bigger and bigger! Your little adventure on Peachtree Street as a 35th Anniversary treat was turning out to be a blast! Lots of food! Lots of fun! (And then there were those candles that appeared...and some really terrible singing followed!) Ha! Thanks for the terrific review! And great advice to TA readers! Always try to take a Food Tour as early into your city visit as possible. Your guide just may have some timely (and yummy) advice for more fun and food. It's what we do!! So...do I hear an anniversary tradition! Come to Atlanta! Take my Tour again! You two saw the aggressive development and know what that means?! More restaurants! Different food! And I'm sure I can make up some more stories by then!! My best to you both! John

I was visiting on a media trip to create content for our family travel blog. John helped me suss out the top sights and tastes for 24 hours in Atlanta...he is the BEST tour guide I've ever had, hands-down. He even went out of his way to make sure the restaurants were prepared for people in our group who had allergies and certain food intolerances. If you're traveling without little kids and have a free afternoon, you should definitely join one of his tours (some of the restaurants serve alcohol or are in more upscale locations, which is why I personally wouldn't bring my toddler or preschooler). If you're pressed for time or have wee ones along for the trip, it's worth a call to ask if he can create a private tour for you. The man is charming and filled with historical knowledge, and was absolutely one of the biggest highlights of our trip. Thank you, John!!!

C. - Thanks for reminding TA readers that I'm just a phone call away if you'd like a customized Tour (Yours had an 8:00am start so we had dessert first!!), or if you have dietary concerns (My first gluten AND dairy intolerant guest! Yikes!), and then to the children-under-14-years-of-age question ( Now we've got to chat a bit!). I work hard to be certain that all my guests have a grand time so...Thank you for commenting on how well it all worked! You folks had a whirl-wind 3 - 4 days and I'm tickled that I was one of the highlights! I love my Midtown neighborhood and all it has to offer. When you come back to Atlanta, let's do this again! Different food! Same fun! (And bring the little ones! I'll even push the stroller!) My best to you and your family! John
