Josh is a friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. We really liked this tour. Good pre-tour communication as he texted me with his contact info before the walking tour. There were 8 of us in the group. He kept the walking tour at a good pace. Pointed out areas to be careful, ie., broken up concrete. He was patient while I and others took photos. Josh made sure that no one fell behind! If we had another day in this lovely city, I would have inquired about other tours with this guide.

Thank you for this review. I hope you do come back for some more New Orleans time with us. The pre-tour text is something that we guides and our guests love. It establishes a little communication before the tour and assures everyone that there will be a person with a phone number waiting for them at a specific place at a specific time. In addition, small groups, comfortable pace, and a guide who knows the details of the neighborhood (including tricky sidewalks) come together to make such a pleasant and informative experience. More than one person has fallen in love with this city on a Lucky Bean tour! I am glad you got some good pictures, and lots of pleasant memories. See you next time! Libby

You must have had James as your guide! He really is so funny and finds a great story behind each lovely Garden District mansion. He notices things other guides don't see, diligently researches it, then finds the best little details to tell his lucky guests! I hope you are able to come and tour with James in the cemeteries next time. Libby

Visited New Orleans with our 7 and 9 year old, the tour was well suited for their ages as the walk wasn't strenuous or too long, and the frequent, insightful stops were perfect. Elizabeth was very personable, provided wonderfully informative detail from her unique insight seeing that her family has been in the area for 10 generations. One of the best aspects though, was the small group number - there were about 10 of us in our group. Seeing other groups walking around with as many as 30 made me wonder if everyone could fully enjoy all the details and hear the guide at every stop. There was no jockeying for position with our small group, and we moved through the Garden District efficiently. Highly recommended.

Your family was great - thank YOU for being the kind of parents who want their children to truly learn about the places you visit! The Garden District is just so lovely and special and, since the closure of Lafayette Cemetery #1, sadly fewer people see it. Exploring it is an important component to a real understanding of New Orleans as a whole. I hope your family returns again and again to see and hear the stories of this wonderful city.
