Olympic National Park Tour z Seattle

Przegląd
Olympic National Park is well known for having several different ecosystems to explore: subalpine forest, wildflower meadows, temperate rain-forest, and the rugged Pacific Shore. This twelve hour tour allows you to sample each of these systems with the added advantage of having an experienced guide to answer any questions that may arise. Come explore tide pools along the coastal beaches, roam among old-growth forest, trek atop mountain ridges with breathtaking vistas and stand by glacier-birthed rivers and lakes. The tour begins on a leisurely ferry boat ride over the Puget Sound to the Olympic Peninsula. The exact itinerary will be curated by the tour guide however our first stop will usually find us at Hurricane Ridge where you will hike to an incredible view of the valley below and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. We will move on to Crescent Lake and the seasonally Sol Duc Valley, and a sandy beach along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Please plan on walking six miles.

Optional park stop. Fall is most likely time to stop. A very pretty waterfall, old growth forest with with areas exhibiting temperate rain forest. Seasonal Salmon runs too, in autumn. hiking or if you bring your swimsuit you can soak in hot springs.

Dungeness Recreation Area
Optional Stop: If tide or time tables are not conducive to stop at Salt Creek Recreation Area a stop at Dungeness Spit will replace it. Dungeness spit is also a great beach and wildlife sanctuary. Hike and enjoy.

optional stops depending the day, waterfalls, big trees, the largest dam removal and wildlife rehabilitation project in the world.

Washington State Ferries
We go back to Seattle by ferry and after a long day we often see the sunset over the waters. Seeing Seattle loom larger and larger is a great way to end the day. They serve beer and Ivars's clam chowder as well on board.

This tour was worth every penny! My main goal for this tour was to see and experience a Pacific Northwest rainforest and that’s exactly what I got. I felt like I was visiting Endor from the Empire Strikes Back but didn’t get to meet any Ewoks. During our hikes we saw some incredible mountain views and impressive waterfalls. Kevin, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the region, gladly entertained questions, and provided interesting information throughout the day. Because of his knowledge, he adjusted the tour on the fly to work around a bit of rain.

We enjoyed our long day touring and hiking some of the highlights of Olympic National Park. Our guide Kevin was knowledgeable and considerate and made the best use of time and weather to create a memorable experience.

This experience was well worth the money! We were able to experience a trip on the ferry and take in numerous views with several good hikes. Our tour guide, Kevin, was excellent! He was extremely accommodating and informed us of all of our stops ahead of time. The hours in the van were made more enjoyable by his storytelling and numerous facts about the area. Kevin does the Olympic tours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I even booked a wine and waterfalls tour based on his recommendation. Would highly recommend!
