If your heading to New Orleans soon and looking at the things to do list, stop when you come to this class, don’t go any further , sign up. It was an absolutely amazing time. Chef Preston was the best , interesting man full of great stories. He is great chef and was very easy to follow. You cook two meals , he gives you tips and help as you prep all the food. Then your standing in front of a hot pan creating your own roux, I thought it might be intimidating but it was an absolute blast. It’s a small area that you cook in which gives it an intimate feel. We had a great group to cook with so that made it even better, after awhile you feel like your hanging out in someone’s kitchen. It’s help yourself to beer and wine in the fridge , which makes you feel even more at home. We cooked two dishes , shrimp ettouffe and gumbo. You cook for awhile then your group sits and dines together , then you go back to cooking. You even get the recipes after to try at home , can’t wait to try it at home , both dishes were delish.
