Escape the ordinary, just 8 miles from the French Quarter! Relax and leave your cares behind while you explore the lake side of New Orleans on a private 2 hour sail. Hop aboard a 47' luxury Beneteau sailboat called "Roux Stir", named for our love of a heartwarming New Orleans gumbo. Maximum 6 guests please.

Once onboard, all guests receive complimentary white wine, local craft beer, and light snacks. Listen to the boat glide through the water or enjoy your favorite tunes via Spotify.

Enjoy a 2 hour invigorating sail on the Southshore of historic & expansive Lake Pontchartrain, where you may spot a brown pelican flying overhead, and see the longest bridge in the world over water, the Causeway.

Captain Doug, a local New Orleanian with a passion for sailing, will ensure your safety. All proper safety equipment, life vests, and clean restrooms onboard.

We live in New Orleans and love our lake, what a wonderful surprise to find this cruising experience now exists! I booked the sunset sail as a surprise for my husband for our wedding anniversary and it was fabulous! Our hosts could not have been more accommodating. Their boat is beautiful and comfortable and the weather was perfect. What more could you ask for - calm water, relaxing atmosphere, gorgeous sunset, a double rainbow and fireworks on the shore! I highly recommend the New Orleans Yacht Experience - we will definitely cruise again when we have family visiting. Thank you again for everything Captain Doug and Cruise Director Rena

I booked this sail as a anniversary experience for my wife and I and could not have had a better evening. We were pick-up at our hotel by the captain of the boat and got all the local info about New Orleans and sailing from him. The sail boat was a 50ft boat in very good shape with enough room for the 6 person capacity. During the sail we were given snacks and a selection of alcoholic beverages while lounging on the bow of the boat. This sailing experience is very well thought out and i would definitely recommend this to anyone.

My girlfriend and I were in New Orleans for my 29th birthday and looking for a way to get on the water. I'm so glad we found this sail! Doug and Rena were so warm and welcoming, picked us up right from our hotel. We were with one other couple and we both had enjoyable conversation and also time to ourselves to enjoy the beautiful sunset and calm sailing. Couldn't recommend more highly!
