Choose your own adventure! You pick the distance (6-10 miles on average), terrain, scenery, and difficulty for a spectacular day in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Abundant waterfalls, the highest peaks east of the Mississippi, and the prettiest views you'll find in the South are all at your disposal off the Blue Ridge Parkway, on the Appalachian Trail, or hidden deep Pisgah National Forest.

Price includes your guide and a picnic lunch; please specify dietary restrictions when booking. Trekking poles are provided upon request. Transportation is not included, but can be added for an additional fee (depending on availability).

We hike rain or shine! We will cancel the hike in the event of dangerous weather.

Blue Ridge Hiking Company has been in business for 13 years; we believe the trail is there for everyone at every phase of life. All guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR, and knowledgeable in local history, flora, and fauna. Check out our website for more information!

We had 5 days of Full Day hikes with our private guides - Hannah Brock (3 days) and Tamera Trexler (2 Days). They were both truly excellent. Contacted 1 week prior to our arrival to discuss our likes and dislikes - I have fear of heights and allergy to bee stings. They both are avid hikers and very familiar with the trails. Hannah scouted the Mount Mitchell hike condition in advance to make sure I would be able to handle. Tamera is very knowledgeable re. Plants and flowers. All the hikes were very beautiful and suited to our difficulty level. We even saw some elk and a black bear with Tamera. They never rushed us, took appropriate rest and lunch times. They stopped at view points for pictures too. Lunch was selected to our requests. Tamera brought a bunch of snack and other goodies from Trader Joe’s which we enjoyed. The Blue Ridge staffs were very nice and customer service oriented. Melissa our private trip coordinator recommended our two best guides., very prompt and detailed, her suggestion that we stayed in Asheville instead of 15 minutes away in the mountains were right on. Asheville is such an amazing town - great restaurants and shopping. They were very understanding and supportive when we had to change our trip times due to unforeseen circumstances. Blue Ridge Hiking company showed us an amazing time hiking in North Caroline.

Bev was a great hiking guide for our first visit to the area. She took us on a variety of trails; we saw panoramic vistas, meadows, and waterfalls. Bev really went the extra mile and gave us a wonderful day out!

I booked this hike for my son and I, but it really was intended as a 'tune up' for my Camino hike the following month. Mel Gibson was our guide and she was superb. - She listened to what I wanted/didn't want and adapted perfectly - The hike she planned was challenging, but not beyond our abilities - She was on time and totally prepared - She was excited, joyful, and very informative - She gave me great tips and guidance for my upcoming Camino hike I can be a harsh critic, but in this case I can only say positive things. My son and I finished the day tired but energized.. if that makes any sense.
