We rode the train to Seward from Anchorage and took the Real Alaska Tour with Elyssa on our last full day in Alaska. It was the highlight of my week in Alaska and the best time I have had, counting my two previous trips to Alaska!
The tour of the Sled Dog facility was like a living museum. The staff was friendly and informative. We learned alot about sled dogs, the Iditarod race, training for the race and at the end held the most adorable puppies in Alaska.
Reading 'Call of the Wild' and 'White Fang' merely helped bring this tour to life even more. Elyssa was the friendliest tour guide one could have. She explained everything we would see, hear and touch. The rest of the tour was fun, but the sled dogs - amazing! She is patient and kind, able to calm my son enough about bears to allow him to enjoy the great outdoors.
