We wanted to go dog sledding but didn't want to take a small plane or helicopter to a glacier, so we visited the Seavey's on the six-hour Real Alaska tour. It was great fun and we got to hold new puppies. It was interesting to hear about the equipment used by the adults and dogs during the Ididarod. We really enjoyed our visit. We also enjoyed the rest of our tour and tour leader. We took a short hike to Exit Glacier and got to see salmon hanging out in a stream. It was a great tour and day.

We rode the train to Seward from Anchorage and took the Real Alaska Tour with Elyssa on our last full day in Alaska. It was the highlight of my week in Alaska and the best time I have had, counting my two previous trips to Alaska! The tour of the Sled Dog facility was like a living museum. The staff was friendly and informative. We learned alot about sled dogs, the Iditarod race, training for the race and at the end held the most adorable puppies in Alaska. Reading 'Call of the Wild' and 'White Fang' merely helped bring this tour to life even more. Elyssa was the friendliest tour guide one could have. She explained everything we would see, hear and touch. The rest of the tour was fun, but the sled dogs - amazing! She is patient and kind, able to calm my son enough about bears to allow him to enjoy the great outdoors.

We did a Real Alaska Tour today with Elyssa. It was fantastic. The puppies were by far my favorite part. She kept us informed about everything from bathrooms to trails. She was very knowledgeable about Seward and glaciers. We saw too much to write about. She knew all the current bald eagle nest and had lots of bear stories that the kids loved. Thanks Elyssa for a great day.
