This unique experience to Saona Island offering for small groups of 14 pax.
In our experience we visit places not visited by the masses, we will take you to the town of Mano Juan, the only places inside the island where theres people leaving in a small community. Here we will know a community leader who run the turtle conservation area, we will have the time for learn about Turtle and how important they are for the planet. In Mano Juan, we will serve you a breakfast, with sandwiches, juices and fruits.
After Mano Juan Beach, We will be visiting Abanico Beach the most beautiful and famous beach and landscapes, white sands beaches, perfect beach for jump in the water and enjoy the Caribbean Sea of Dominican Republic. Beach chairs and open bar. Abanico Beach, Playa Abanico, here we will enjoy a private self service buffet lunch with Dominican Food. After lunch we will continue to Palmilla Beach to The Natural pools to see star fish. We finish at the reef doing snorkeling for see fish.

Melvin was an awesome tour guide! He gave us little history lesson on the way to the boat and then we took off to Saona. Our group was first on island and enjoyed it while it was empty before the larger groups came in and enjoyed a very tasty lunch. Highly highly recommend booking this tour!

It's important to star early, that give us the chances to walk and enjoy the beaches before the big groups arrives at the Saona Island and the national park Cotubanama. Normally, people from all over the island visited the Saona Island doing this Park the most visited in the Dominican Republic. Our day trip with Melvin was absolutely amazing! Even though the weather was much less than cooperative, Melvin's passion and love for the island of Saona and the turtles shown through. His historical knowledge for Dominical Republic was extensive, and he shared with us so many interesting things about it. Transportation directly from our resort was a breeze, and the drive to the marina was enlightening. Breakfast was simple and delicious at Mano Juan. Melvin's knowledge of the turtles on Saona Island is nothing short of amazing, and you can tell how much he loves what he does. Back on the boat to another beach for more stunning views of the island and sea. Next, we went to Abanico Beach for some free time and an awesome buffet lunch. After that, we stopped the boat over a sand bar and found some starfish. The water was beautiful and warm. Back near the marina, the water was a little bit too stirred up to see much snorkeling-wise, but the weather had control of that. This was an awesome day to spend exploring the gorgeous area of Saona Island, and while you could spend less money on other excursions, Melvin's tour was worth every penny and then some! It was so much more personalized because of the smaller group. Melvin's crew, both the driver of the transport van and the 2-man crew on the boat made us feel safe. The boat driver was absolutely top-notch as he navigated us through some pretty tall waves associated with the weather. From start to finish, THIS is the tour to take to Saona Island! Melvin was awesome, organized, knowledgable, and dedicated to creating an outstanding experience!

We put much effort to present a different side of Saona lsland and be able to integrated the locals during the experience specially the turtle sanctuary protection project, it's one of our goals, it's a community part in the experience very important to practice responsible ways of doing tourism. An early start, 5.45am pick up from Punta Cana but worth it Melvin, the guide, has fantastic local knowledge. En route to the boat, he gave us an interesting historical and geopolitical talk about the Dominican Republic. We then visited a small town on Saona to visit the turtle rescue centre, and I bought some lovely souvenirs of Larimar jewellery, a local gemstone. We then set off for the main beach of Saona. When we arrived, it was empty. Beautiful white sands and perfect for strolling along the long beach. However by the time we were leaving, after lunch, masses of other tourists were arriving in large Catamarans. On the return journey, we visited mangroves where we saw several turtles swimming and coming up for air, then stopped at the sand bars to snorkel and see the star fish. The last stop was a brief snorkel at the reef. All our drivers, buses and boats were great and we were back at the hotel in Punta Cana by 5 pm. A big part of our enjoyment of this trip was meeting a great bunch of people. Hello to everyone on this trip on the 3rd March! Happy holidays!

Good Morning Thanks for write your review, really thanks., It's important that you mentioned the pick up time at Uvero Alto Areas, that's correct we pick up at 5:45 am because it's 45 minutes from Punta Cana, Bavaro. All guest staying at Uvero Alto, need to be pick up around 5:45 AM, I know it's an early star that's the reason because we do one stop before the port at the convinient store 10 minutes before the port for grab a coffee used the toilets and keep going to the port at 8:00 AM we are ready to leave at the port. As you can see to see the beaches empty and be able to take pictures and enjoy the coconuts walk alone feels very relaxing., Thanks again for reserved with us., Best Regards
