While visiting California we decided to try out something special like Ballooning over winecountry. We found California Dreamin on the net and sent off an email questioning availability etc. They responded promptly with no fuss. Additionally they also have beautifully located B & B at their winery, La Vindemia. We booked both Ballooning and B&B. The Ballooning was breathtaking. We started off at sunrise, climbing trough some clouds and had a superb view of the area. Conclusion: If you have a chance, book a flight with Californa Dreamin. They are serious and you get value for money all the way Likewise, the B&B was very good. Clean, spacious and ideally situated to ballooning, winetasting and nearby restaurants with good food 3 Norwegians touring California

I wanted to surprise my husband for our anniversary with something different, fun and a little romantic. Since my husband is 70, and I am just a step behind, I wanted something adventurous without hassle. We found it with the California Dreamin/ South Coast Winery package.. and more. A terrific little villa in a vineyard, with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub after a lovely dinner in the Winery's restaurant and a good nights sleep, we were picked up, at our door, by a courteous driver at exactly 5:35 a.m., whisked to a lighted tent in a vineyard where we met several other people that were also taking the balloon flight that day. It had rained lightly the day before and a storm was coming in later in the day, so I was afraid we would not go up, but our very experienced pilot, David, checked and rechecked conditions, before and during the flight. We went up in two balloons, 6 passengers in one and 12 passengers in the second balloon. There was an amazing sunrise while the crews were inflating the balloons, which was accomplished very quickly and we climbed into the gondolas. Pictures were taken and we ascended to a magnificent view of the country side and the other balloon inflating below us. We safely drifted/flew around for an hour while our pilot kept a watchful eye on the storm, landing in a field just minutes before intermittent sprinkles began. It was Glorious! A lovely continental breakfast back in the vineyard with a complementary bottle of wine for our anniversary completed our adventure. We had a great time and recommend it for any occasion, or no occasion at all.

This is something that everyone should do atleast once. The entire experience is effortless. You're picked up in the morning, taken to sign in, the mornings events are explained to you and then your shuttled to your launch site. Dave, our pilot, and his staff are amazing. Very friendly, courteous and knowledgable ( and pretty good photographers). After a breathtaking ride over the vineyards, you return to Vindemia (David's family vineyard) , for breakfast, the bread is to die for, and mamosa's and wine. We were there for my wife's birthday and besides putting a birthday banner on the balloon, they also had a cake when we returned. Another couple was given a bottle of wine for their anniversary. I can't recommend this enough, and what a great gift idea for the person who has everything. LOVED IT!!
