I am not an experienced photograph and have really enjoyed this tour. It brings you to some of the great spots to capture the wilderness beauties of Anchorage! Jody is an amazing photographer and storyteller! She has extra tripods, umbrella and lots of advice to help the group improve their skills and capture the magical of Anchorage beauties. The tour went really quick. As it can often rain, I would recommend you come prepare for all type of weather so you can focus on enjoying the scenery and wildlife.

Weather can be changeable here and rain often gives guests pause for going on tour. Thank you for braving it out and sharing the experience! ~Jody

There wasn't much to learn about photographing Anchorage... or so we thought until Jody and Amy showed us otherwise! The PhotoTreks operation is first rate and know their subjects, cameras, the local geography/culture and the local light better than anyone we have met... this particular tour is tailored to take advantage of the best Anchorage has to offer during the late summer twilight hours. They take you to beautiful places with a mix of natural and man-made subjects to capture in innovative ways and they are flexible to adjust the itinerary to take advantage of/avoid changing conditions... The tour van is really well set up and comfortable and Jody makes great hot chocolate! Enough said - if you want to take photos to remember then book the tour now... and - importantly - you don't need to be an expert photographer - Jody will patiently show you how to get the best out of any camera!

We really enjoyed our small group Sunset Photo Tour with Jody Overstreet. She is a knowledgeable photographer with interest in sharing the world around her. We visited several different areas during our trip and learned interesting details about Anchorage and Alaska. She helped us learn and try new techniques for improving our images. We are glad we made time to take this trek.
