Robert Malissa is an award-winning, incredibly funny, laugh provoking, out-of-this -world, comedy magician with low self-esteem (who writes his own bios). He has a very warm style with the goal of sharing the joy inherent in a moment of magic.

Rob encourages participation and ensures that his volunteers and the rest of the audience have a great time.

He is the winner of the Philadelphia Houdini Award and a recipient of both stage and close-up magic awards from the Society of American Magicians.

The entire tour is between 1 to 1.5 hours. The walking time is approx. 1/2 hour. The rest of the time is standing, except for a few locations with some spots to sit.
In the summer, a water bottle is recommended.

I attended this new walking magic tour of historic Philadelphia. Rob, our tour guide was fantastic! He was a fun host, magician, and comedian! We had a blast learning about Philly and American history. He is a fun storyteller and we learned so many interesting facts. His magic tricks were also quite entertaining! Being born and raised in Philadelphia, I learned some new facts about Historic Philadelphia! Everyone on our tour had a great time. I would highly recommend taking this tour whether you are a resident of Philadelphia or a tourist looking for something fun to do!!!

What a unique way to see a part of Philly! We had a perfect day to do the walk around Philly with a magician who tied in his magic tricks to some landmarks of Philly. We were a family of 6 (ages 13-70) and everyone was included in some of the magic. A few of us also earned some cash! In the middle of the tour, there was break and opportunity to get drinks or use a bathroom. Our walks and stops were in spots away from crowds and cars though there could always be a surprise around the corner like a wedding photo shoot or a motorcycle delivery guy trying to cut through our path. The magician was able to work around these slight challenges and always made sure everyone was accounted for and safe. Most of our stops were in the comfort of shaded areas and some had benches for some people to take a seat. Overall, my whole family enjoyed the tour and were not able to figure out the magic tricks. We also learned a bit of history and some Philly facts. We highly recommend this unique, light-hearted and entertaining walking tour whether you are new to Philly or not.
