I did a lot of research and read dozens and dozens of TA reviews on various zipline canopy tours and chose this one for our family (2 kids age 8 and 11). I can tell there are more "adrenaline-filled" tours out there but this was perfect for us!! A good mix of excitement and adrenaline mixed with beauty and scenery in a safe environment. The Tarzan swing and rapel added really fun variety into the tour as well!
The equipment (gloves/helmet) looked a little worn but never once doubted their safety. The guides took safety extremely seriously and I appreciated their constant vigilance to make sure our family and group were constantly clipped in as we moved from platform to platform.
We began with the tarzan swing (wish it was later on) and it was a little nerve racking but soooo fun!! One of our favorite videos to watch since returning home. The zip lines were plentiful and get longer and longer. In the middle there is the option to "rapel" down to the ground and then climb up inside a ficus tree. I definitely recommend this, but the "rapel" was more like a controlled free fall-- fast!! FYI!
The last 2 zip lines were breathtaking-- sooo Long (I believe the longest in Costa Rica) and gorgeous views as you fly above. My kids both had to go with a guide for those due to weight.
Guides were very nice but definitely focused on safety and working. One of them took my phone and took photos and videos for us which we never could have taken ourselves. Not sure if that's just because our group wasn't huge (I think 10?) and he was being extra nice. I can't promise others would do that.
Our family did many things during our week in Costa Rica (waterfall rappelling/canyoning, venado caves, hanging bridges, jungle night tour, chocolate tour, etc) and in the end this was the favorite for both my kids and ourselves!!
As with all things in Costa Rica, there was no pressure to tip at the end but we still did, appreciating the guides' hard physical work and attention to safety to give our family a great memorable experience. Thank you!
