Really nice people from original canopy tour, they take pictures with our cameras during the tour. It is not so scary like another companies in Monteverde and all the time through the jungle. On the last 2 station we can see beautiful view to Pazifik. We have been 5 people on this tour! Thanks a lot for this nice tour!!!

There are several companies in the Monteverde area that offer zip lining, and everything I had read told me that this was the company I wanted to use. The gal out our hotel tried to convince us to go with another company (I've read since that there might be a kickback system for sending business? not sure how prevalent). I'm so, so thankful that I followed my gut and stayed with this company. If you find yourself in a similar situation- don't be swayed! We had an OUTSTANDING time! Johnny and Adolfo were a fantastic team. They were professional and friendly, they had a great sense of humor without ever losing focus on their jobs and keeping us safe. Our group had a really positive vibe, and Johnny and Adolfo equally contributed to that fun feeling. We had been zip lining at home previously, and the experience with the Original Canopy Tour was far better on all counts. Johnny and Adolfo worked well as a team, they were very knowledgable and skilled, everything they did meshed seamlessly into the next step. I felt incredibly safe from start to finish. Everything moved at a nice fast pace, so limited time waiting around on the platforms. The lines are all a bit different, so you feel like each zip is something special. The views from the longer zips near the end are breathtaking. The climb up the hollow tree is a neat touch. The cost was equivalent to the other companies, and my husband and I thought the value was outstanding. We were on the same trip as Monument101, and from an outsiders perspective we thought Johnny and Adolfo did a great job with their two children (who were cool kids to start with). I am thinking of bringing my nephews to Costa Rica in a few more years, and the type of service and attention that we saw directed toward the children- not just the adults- really convinced me that when I return with the nephews, this is the company I will bring them zip lining with. We enthusiastically recommend this company!

My wife, our twelve year old son, and I were torn between whether we should do Selvatura or the Original Canopy Tour. We had read great reviews of both, and I'm sure they are both great experiences. On our second night in Santa Elena we talked with a family we had met the night before, and they had spent the morning at Selvatura. They loved it, but said that it was very crowded. Despite the crowds, they said it was a great experience and they didn't have to wait in line much. But after hearing that we decided that we'd try The Original Canopy Tour. We did the 10:30 am zipline tour and drove up there from our hotel (they would have picked us up if we wanted, but it was close by). We were the only ones there and had a wonderful tour with just the three of us and our two guides. Nobody in front of us or behind us. Our guides were wonderful and were not in a hurry to move us along. They took time to tell us about plants, trees and animals. We saw some birds, but no monkeys or anything -- I think it's rare to see them on any of the ziplines in this area. The guide who went in front of us took our camera for most of the tour and took great photos and videos of us. The Tarzan swing was a fun bonus -- it seems scary before you start, but it was really fun, even for my wife who's scared of heights. Midway through the ziplines (14 cables total, I think?) you have an option of rapelling down and climbing back up through the center of a strangler fig tree. That was really cool, and my son and I both loved it, but my wife opted out of that -- it's probably good she did, because I don't think she would have enjoyed the rope-ladder climb back up. We were glad we picked The Original Canopy Tour because of the quiet, private tour, but I'm sure we would have had fun at Selvatura, too.
