A Safe and Tranquil Taste of the Wailua River

This three-hour guided tour is a wonderful paddling adventure for the whole family, idyllic paddling on the Wailua River Great panoramic scenery with the landscape and natural history genuinely and safely explained by your water borne guide.

The Wailua River became the center of activity for early Hawaiians and is known as one of Hawaii’s two most sacred places.

At night, it is said that one can still hear ancient drums thunder in concert with the nearby surf. This tour is perfect for those who want a “taste” of this wonderful river.

The company was easy to find, well organized and had all the quality gear needed. The paddle was enjoyable with grand views. We hiked through the jungle with a couple of river crossings to a waterfall. Our guide, Harrison was very knowledgeable and fun! It was one of the highlights of our time in Kauai.

We had a great time kayaking on the Wailua River! The other group that was supposed to be with us canceled earlier in the day so we ended up with a private tour! I do wish we had been able to hike to the waterfall but we weren't able to due to recent rain and a risk of flash flooding. It was nice that snacks and drinks were provided as well!

Aloha Carolin, Been soggy of late and sorry you did not make it to the Falls. We monitor the gauge and if it becomes to risky, we don't venture on the trail and stream crossing. So we take a curve and make it a plus and enjoy just the tranquility of a river paddle. Thanks for your 5 stars and hope to see you back and to the falls we go. A hui hou, Micco
