We were picked up at Buffalo Trace Distillery and taken to the boat ramp. The boat is a pontoon and you cruise the river and hear a ton of history that goes along with the Kentucky River. The captain of the boat was awesome, and very knowledgeable. The only complaint I could possibly have is we went on a very hot day. Not a lot of cover on the boat, so wear sunscreen. Outside of that I would recommend. The lady that drove the bus that picked us up was very nice and chatted about restaurants etc. Both are Kentucky Colonials.

Thanks for the feedback. We have ordered a new top for the boat since we have noticed the heat on board...so we hear you! We are a new business and are truly learning how to be the best as we go! Know that next time you join is we should have more shade available, and we will continue to ask the good Lord for better temperatures this summer! It has been a HOT one!

We booked the small tour with two kids and we all loved it! Well honestly there is not a lot to see on that tour but we learned so much about Kentucky, its people and the Bourbon history! And we went there on a hot day and it´s nice to spend some time on the river. Our kids enjoyed it too, as they could steer to boat for a little while together with the captain. Oh and there is Ale8 (ginger ale) drinks which we loved too. Totally recomend it!!!

Our tour guide was excellent and full of great information. It was a leisurely, beautiful ride down to Kentucky River. Very much enjoyed it!
