Charleston was always my husband and my favorite city to visit. We loved walking around the Battery, frequently took carriage tours, and toured many famous landmarks throughout the city over the years. Recently, I had the opportunity to take a walking tour with Dr. Eric Lager, a Professor of History at the Citadel. What a wonderful experience! He is an expert in his field. I learned many details that were very interesting. You will not be disappointed!

Eric is an articulate, enthusiastic and friendly guide with a great sense of humor. With an extensive knowledge of the state, the city and its history and culture, he gives a spectacular tour! We walked an easy mile and a half through the heart of the old city, learned interesting facts and saw many sites about which he shared the historical contexts. We quickly learned that he appreciates questions! Halfway through we stopped at some very nice restrooms and a place to fill up our water bottles. At the end of the tour he pointed us to additional places of interest nearby. I paid close attention throughout the tour as what he shared was so informative and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys having an historical perspective on the city they are visiting!
