How could you do better than a friendly, knowledgeable history professor, who wrote his dissertation on the succession of South Carolina from the Union to conduct a historic walking tour of downtown Charleston? Don’t think that this will be a college, lecture, boring, or dry. Eric is very friendly, approachable, and knows what people would like to hear. He is also very able to answer questions raised. You can arrange a private tour, or up to 10 people, and the tour lasts about 2 1/2 hours. It was interesting to note as we walked through and saw other tour guides, they all knew Eric, clearly respected him, and a couple even asked questions, or to borrow some thing from his backpack to help their tour. I have had many tours around the world over the years, and Eric was one of the finest.

This walk is a must-have experience for anyone interested in the rich history of Charleston. The walk itself is incredibly scenic, taking you through some of the most beautiful, elegant, and historic parts of the city. As far as knowledge that I gained from the tour, I learned a ton of facts about the formation of Charleston as well as a plethora of interesting tidbits on the low country that I have been able to pass on to friends and family as a result. Eric is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and does a great job of providing people with the best experience possible.
