I bought these thinking they would really meet my needs, but I felt there were a lot of things I would not use..if you like the museums then these are definitely for you.....I would really look closely at what is on offer before purchasing..
Used the city pass for Empire State Building, Rockefeller center, and 3 hour cruise on the river we had to add dollars. I'm not sure if we saved money by getting the pass
We stayed in New York for 6 nights and unfortunately didn't get to all the attractions in the book. We did the Rockafeller and Empire State Building. Even though we had pre-purchased tickets which saved you lining up to purchase these, the queues to get into these two places was long. We arrived at The Empire State Building at 8.30am and joined the queue. By the time we made it up to the top it was11.30am. The view is spectacular but very crowded once you are at the top. The Rockafelller wait was about two hours and the views just as good as Empire State but without the crowds.
We went to the Museum and the Statue of Liberty ferry after seeing the queues for both we decided that we weren't going to spend another half a day in a queue.
The Staten Island ferry provided us with a fantastic view of the Statue of Liberty and as we were early, there were no queues.
