After departing the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.

Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.

Loved it. Great day. A long day, but a wonderful experience. Minibus was comfortable, cool, comfy seating, nice tunes on the radio, plenty of ice cold bottled water on hand, big windows, plenty of stops to stretch/refuel (esp on the outbound journey). Our guide was Robert...very friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate. Seemed genuinely interested in who his passengers were, and was keen to develop a rapport with all of us, and to make sure we had an enjoyable day. Long drive out there from PHX (and back in the evening) but worth every minute and every dollar. I would highly recommend the trip.....if (like us) you haven't been to the Canyon, the anticipation is great, as you near the National Park, and the moment you actually get to see it for real, right there in front of you, is worth the 3+ hour journey to get there. Awesome - in the true sense of the word.

Our guide was Dan and he gave very detailed information as we road along the trip. We had two stops, one in Sedona which was beautiful and a must see and one at Route 66 in Williamsburg which was also very nice. Once we arrive at the Grand Canyon we made three stops to get different views around the South Rim. It was absolutely gorgeous and our tour guide did an excellent job!! I would definitely recommend.

My wife & I were staying in Scottsdale looking to see the Grand Canyon. This was a very good day trip to the Grand Canyon. The driver was very good; friendly and knowledgeable. Could just sit back and enjoy the scenery out the window. Had a stop in Sedona. Good viewing spots at the Grand Canyon. Enough time to walk around, take pictures and eat lunch (provided).
