The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.

Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.

This tour was outstanding. First of all, the office staff was great as far as confirming the time and pick up location the day before. The bus ride was great and our tour guide Bruce was very knowledgeable. We had plenty of pit stops along the way and I felt like we saw a lot in one day. The lunch was also very good-- with the cookie being quite scrumptious. All in all a great day and I would highly recommend this tour.

A day tour to the Grand Canyon, with a visit to Sedona, a few stops on our way to the Canyon and a stop on Route 66 famous Williams AZ. It was a perfect day! The Grand Canyon is unique in its awe-inspiring beauty. Majestic! Our tour guide and driver was Ronny Lee. We were all amazed by his extensive knowledge (academic, I would say) of the Fauna and Flora, the different Eco zones, the history and trivia making our trip so much more interesting and enjoyable. With his pleasant attitude he safely drove us through the most amazing landscape, pointing out in detail all there is to see. The trip should be on everybody's bucket list. Detours' mini-bus was very comfortable, air-conditioned and very clean. The lunch boxes were delicious and healthy. If you want to travel in style, this company delivers! Thank you for a perfect trip!

It is an excellent option to go on a short day trip on a weekend between your business days. Pick up from hotel or a nearby place in the early morning. then proceed for a long drive to Sedona. Professional driver and guide for the small van will keep on telling interesting stories and histories on the way about the places. Stopped at a place to grab some quick breakfast and coffee before proceeding to Sedona. Once in Sedona, soak in the natural beauty with a coffee. After the break we went towards Williams, the small rail head town, the last one before the Canyon. By the way, the guide will ask your lunch preferences and pick it up on the way. Keep on taking small bites while enjoying the drive through the beautiful landscape and terrains..... Finally, when we reached the south rim of the Grand Canyon, it was just about afternoon. perfect time to reach as it was not too cold or hot at that time. just keep looking at the majestic view of the canyon and soak in it's beauty and vastness..... I think, a photo says thousands of words, but, here even thousands of photos will not be enough unless you see it yourself..... Appreciate the beauty of the mighty nature.... Start your drive back at late afternoon after buying some gift items there..again a drive through beautiful landscape and get dropped off at hotel around the evening...... Highly recommended tour, even if you are travelling with family or, alone and do not have a car...
