Unfortunately, the busses were WAY OVERSOLD! The only way to see a city is from the top deck. Not possible no matter how long you wait. The live narrators were not conversant in English. Very dissatisfied with the problems. Busses arrived much later than advertised. Poor performance.

Good Evening Tom W. Please be assured, we do not oversell our tours, as we are not a company based on reservations. Guests do have the option to hop on and hop off the bus, however, it is not mandatory. Some customers do enjoy just taking in the sights from the top of the bus and we cannot force any one to hop-off. While our tours do experience a higher volume of customers compared to our competitors, which unfortunately can lead to a little longer wait time, we prepare for these times increasing our bus count. We did experience longer delays due to city events. Whenever we have to change or alter a route, or close a stop completely, we only do so once mandated by the Dept. of Transportation. We post these changes on our website and app under “Service information” All of our guides and agents are aware of these changes and should be informing customers also. We pride ourselves in having a diverse team, they are trained in presenting commentary on the city's history. As for the times posted, they are estimates keeping in mind traffic, which is out of our control. With that said, we apologize your experience wasn't a pleasant one and we hope the rest of your trip was enjoyable. Kind Regards, BBTNY

Having used other bus tour companies in other cities around the world, it's safe to say the Big Bus live guide is the best one out there. Not only do you get the usual commentary on points of interest around the routes, but being a live guide tour you also get additional commentary (and jokes!) based on what's happening right there and then. When the bus has to detour due to road closures for events (thanks Joe Biden), the guides can adapt to the alternate route with ease, so it never feels like a detour. Special mentions to Lionel and the ginger lady* for excellent and funny guides. * I forgot your name, sorry! And I won't call you "Melissa" because it was a great guided tour!

Did a one-day tour on the Big Bus on red route this morning. The first bus I hopped on was with Dwayne, and he was simply awesome! Loved his enthusiastic attitude that was so infectious and made the ride so interesting. Laughed and learned a lot! Saw the difference in the quality of guide when I went on a second bus.. So, Dwayne was exceptional! Great job, Dwayne!
