We walked here from the Iolani Palace and had a nice visit. Very enjoyable visit of the museum and enjoyed the exhibitions that were on hand.

Like the subject says, our visit to the Bishop Museum was very educational. I am a first time visitor to the island and had many questions answered (from how the island/s was/were run and by who before US statehood, the challenges the locals faced before and when it became a state, etc.) after the visit to this museum. The relics from the different times in history showed the similarities and differences between the various Polynesian cultures. The highlight of the museum exhibits for me was the displays from Rapa Nui. It was interesting to see where the stone heads were located on the island. I would like to visit the place some day. We were there at the museum for just over four hours and the visit was well worth it.
