You will pick up the electric bikes at our store and receive brief training and directions on where you can go on this self guided ride. Then you will enjoy riding an electric bike along the coastline in Carlsbad for 3 hours. Check out the surfers and the waves crashing on the beach. The bike lane parallels the beach for approximately 6 miles and then continues through the quaint little towns. There are plenty of places to stop along with way and sit on the beach, shop or get a bite to eat.

My family had a great experience renting from Pedego Carlsbad. Andrew suggested a family bike ride from Carlsbad to Encinitas along the coastal highway. Because my kids are 10 and 7, we rented two bikes total – one tandem and one to pull a trailer. It was a great family outing that was made much easier, faster, and more enjoyable with ebikes; frankly we’re not avid enough bicyclists to have even attempted to manage a tandem and trailer for a 20-mile round trip with some long hills. With ebikes it was leisurely enough to enjoy the great views and some of the parks along the way. Pedego provided locks so we could wander around on foot at various spots. Andrew told us that if we had any issues, give them a call and they would come to repair, deliver a new battery like if needed – nice to have that support for a family excursion. The batteries still read full when we returned the bikes after three hours so I’m sure we could’ve gone a lot farther.

Decided to go at the last minute--so glad we did. . These electric bikes are easy to ride and let you cover a lot of distance. The sun was out, we saw a dolphin pod, the flowers were in bloom, John was an informative guide. Great afternoon outdoors!

Andrew was the most rad dude ever! Best customer service and an awesome time in so cal! If you come to Carl’s bad I definitely recommend Andrew as your service!
