We are the pioneers of NYC food tours since 1999!

Our tour will not only leave you full with EIGHT TASTINGS (not samples like on other Chelsea Market tours), but will include under-the-radar historical tales of Chelsea Market, like how it used to be a factory for Nabisco and the origin of the Oreo cookie. In addition to the trendy and bustling spots on the main floor, we will also visit Chelsea Local downstairs, where locals actually shop for their food.

8 tastings are included with this tour with two opportunities to sit down. All tastings are done inside Chelsea Market. We will make sure you leave full and satisfied with a buttermilk biscuit, homemade Italian crostata, NYC #1 hot dog, Pizza, Gelato and much much more!

Once outside, walk on the High Line, NYC’s elevated public park. You’ll hear compelling tales of the rail line that once served the West Side’s factories and butchers. You’ll wander through the Meatpacking District and find out how this area went from not to hot!

Join us as we reveal the secrets and uniqueness of one of the greatest indoor food markets. Discover why the OREO COOKIE was invented in this building in 1912. Enjoy artisanal foods including; an artisanal NY hot dog from Dickson’s, Sicilian Pizza from Filaga, NY State Cheeses from Saxelby’s, a delicious Italian Crostata from Buon Italia, a Japanese inspired Taco from Takumi Taco, Buttermilk Biscuit and Homemade Jam from Sarabeth’s, Gelato from L’arte Del Gelato, and always something special from Chelsea Market Baskets. The High Line Park

You'll take a guided walk on the HIGH LINE for three blocks, NYC’s elevated outdoor park. You’ll love hearing tales of the High Line trains that once served the butchers below the tracks and local industries, local building architecture and it's fashion scene, the Titanic and see the newly built Little Island.

We had a blast with the Foods of NY tour of the Chelsea Market and the Highline. Everything about it...food, history and our amazing guide, Cindy. This is the 4th tour I've done with Foods of NY and they just keep getting better! I highly recommend this to everyone!

Met our guide Joe at the designated location. Tour started right on time. Learned a lot of interesting history of the building and the area. Food tastings were delicious and portions were generous. The walk around the meat packing district and the high line was filled with great commentary and a nice way to digest! Last stop was gelato - the perfect ending.

We did the Chelsea Market and High Line Tour with Joe. The food was delicious. Joe was amazing with all his knowledge of the history of the market and the surrounding area. Without him, we would have missed so much. He took the time to get to know all the people in our group of 10. He gave great recommendations for places all over the city in terms of restaurants and events. I would highly recommend any of the Foods of New York tours. This was my third and my husbands first.
