My three friends and I booked a full-day trip with Garl's Coastal Kayaking. As June isn't a great month to go to the Everglades, our tour was just us 4 and our guide. Before we left, he gave us mosquito shirts that covered our faces with a netting to keep out the bugs. Besides the mosquitos, which we were expecting, it was a great trip. We hiked through a cypress dome, looking at all the rare plants and even seeing a Barred Owl. Our guide took us to two different kayaking locations: a mangrove kayak on the edge of the Everglades and a kayak in the Florida Bay. We saw American crocodiles, American Alligators, lemon sharks, and many beautiful bird species. We kayaked about 4 miles in total. It was a truly amazing trip that lasted about 7 hours. I highly recommend taking a tour with Garl's Coastal Kayaking!

Garl is a keen photographer as well as an expert gladesman, so the stops are scenic and the sights worth the time and effort - but he paces the day well, and obviously loves the Everglades. Real immersion experience, lots of alligators up close, & even a croc. Great day.
