Using the original household inventory as a guide, period decorative arts reflect the Galliers’ refined taste. This comfortable lifestyle was made possible through the work of enslaved people, and later domestic servants, whose work and lives are also interpreted on tours.

Been once before, and again this month. Wouldn’t go again. I seriously thought about giving only a one star rating. The home is not being maintained as one would expect, both inside and out. Most importantly, the tour guide left a lot to be desired in several ways, manner of presentation, knowledge, which home he thought he was touring…. I would expect more from the home and the guide.

It was so interesting to see the interior of this century old home, its period furnishings and so much about life and habits of that generation. Our guide was delightful and very knowledgeable.
