Went up for the day with the family. Before boarding the train, they had a Wild West Show.... not that exciting, and had 3 men dressed up as cowboys in a very small make believe town and had a shootout, dont worry if you missed it, not a big deal.
The ride up to the Grand Canyon was nice and smooth. the food due to Covid-19 was given to us a sealed box, we were in the 1 class train that usually comes with a buffet. The food was not very appealing.....small muffin, yogurt, fruit container, and small bag of trail mix. the drinks are free except of course if you get any alcohol.
The train ride home was nice, and we heard about the "train robbery" half way down that is a nice show where robbers board the train and steal money from you (after of course you make it visible from your hat) and they to fake harass and tell jokes with you. Well, we did this and all they did was walk down the isle and take the money from the people who had it visible and that was it...no jokes, no funny lines, no nothing... I guess the joke was on all of us to give up the money with nothing in return. Oh well, maybe just an off day for the robbers.
