We went for the Manta Ray Sunset Snorkel with Captain Emily and Kate. It was the most amazing experience. On our way to the site, Captain Emily took us to watch the sunset and we were lucky to see two monk seals and at least 6 bottle nose dolphins showing off for us. We then got to see the rays. We saw at least 15 manta rays during our excursion! They came right to us, touched us and did lots of barrel rolls infront of us. Kate was great with us out in the water and Captain Emily made the trip very smoothe. There was no rush as there was only 6 of us on the excursion so we had lots of time to be with the rays. These ladies made the experience for us because they are so passionate about what they do! To top off the amazing night they gave us the most delicious homemade brownies! Thank you again for the very best evening!

Wow what a lucky trip you had to see bottlenose and not just one but 2 monk seals (the rarest marine mammal). The next time you are out with us you should go out on the dolphin snorkel it is just as amazing. Mahalo again and hope to see you again soon on your next visit.

We had signed up for the Mantra Ray Evening Snorkel experience and let me tell you...It was amazing!! Emily and Justin were fabulous!! I felt at ease the entire time. The experience with the Manta Rays was amazing, seeing these massive angelic creatures gracefully collect their food. The crew provided wet suits and all snorkel gear. When you arrived to the location there were quite a few boats but its very peaceful and with clear instructions from the crew about respecting the mantras, we smoothly floated into the water and was brought over to the "buffet line" for the mantra rays. A beautiful experience all the while Emily is tell interesting fun facts. One guest from another crew kept trying to touch the Mantra Rays and it was satisfying to hear both instructors sternly inform the gentleman to not touch or he would be removed from the water. I appreciated hearing that, that its not catering to the public. Its about preservation and respect of these majestic beasts! When it was all said and done the boat ride back to the harbor was a wonderful time to star gaze. Plus was provided drinks and some home made brownies at the end of it. Yum! Five Star! On our dolphin experience the next morning, having a familiar face (Captain Justin) from the night before made us feel comfortable. We had a fabulous time pretty much immediately coming across a group of Spinner dolphins cruising along just out side the harbor. From a respectful distance we climbed into the water and began swimming to meet up multiple times with this stunning and graceful animals. When we took a little break, we ended up coming across some bottle nose dolphins and a two humpback whales. The last leg before losing the dolphins to their nap time we swam with the mantra rays and then headed back into town! Again enjoying tasty sandwich's and home made brownies. We had an amazing time with this company and highly recommend using them to lead you on these out of this world experiences. You will feel extremely safe. The boat is small which is great!! because its more of an intimate experience. The max guest crew is 6. You would see some other companies that would have massive parties which I felt would take away from the full experience. You will have laughs, meet great people and walk away wanting more. There were two regular visitors to this company joining us on the charter and to hear how when they are on the big island, come out pretty much every day with this charter. Speaks even more volumes about this company! Thank you again for the amazing memories!!

I did two trips with Coral Reef Snorkel Adventures during my 1-week trip to the Big Island and both experiences were amazing. Our first trip with them was a combination of snorkeling with wild dolphins and snorkeling at Captain Cook Monument. It was such a unique experience to swim with wild dolphins. Some of them swam so close to us. The small boat with the maximum of 6 guests allowed us to be dropped in the ocean and back on the boat in no time and gave the experience a more personal touch. It was fun to spend a whole afternoon with Shannon and Captain Ron, it felt we were traveling with friends as they were so nice and attentive. The snacks were also a nice added touch after so much swimming! Our second trip with Coral Reef was the evening snorkeling with Manta Rays. To be honest, I was a little nervous about that one as I never snorkeled at night/in the dark before and I really did not know what to expect but man was I so happy I went. We saw so many Manta Rays, some of them so close that I felt I had to suck in my belly as not to touch them ha! There are also other boats and many divers with lights so you are snorkeling in pitch dark. The water was a little choppy that night so if you have sea sickness, make sure you come prepare. The crew made sure we were safe at all times. I would recommend this company to anyone who visits Kona. Awesome team!

We really aim to give that personalized experience and enjoy the fact that we have a chance to talk and get you know our guest on the boat instead of traveling with 20 or so guest. Yes the night time snorkel can be very intimidating but with our small group and very skilled crew we are able to help anyone no matter what age get over their fear.
