This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

OK. 80 friendly adult Alaskan huskies. Newborn puppies. 3 month old puppies who chase you through a field. Watching four of these doggos having a blast as you ride on a rig behind them through the trails in the forest for a 1/2 hour. Hearing about the history of the Iditarod, this kennel's victories over the decades. What's not to like?

Absolute highlight of our family vacation in Alaska July 2021! My husband and I took our 3 kids (highschool/college age). We all got to drive teams of dogs and then, the best, the puppy pen - our family still talks about this absolutely joyful, fun, best day e ever highlight of our vacation!

Wow! This is a must do if you are in the Talkeetna area. If your a "dog person" even more so. What a great adventure mushing dogs that may very well race in the Iditarod a few months later. Great guides and facilities.
