The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable.

Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes.

For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.

Chef Didier was great. We learned a lot about prepping, the proper way to use a knife, and the difference between cajun and creole. Encourage us to ask questions. We'll be back next year and have plans to take another class.

I wanted to take a little bit of NOLA back with me to Massachusetts. I couldn't think of a better thing to do than learning how to cook the classics. I took the Roux class with Chef Connor. He was so fantastic; he even taught me, a self-proclaimed foodie and home cook, some new tips and techniques. Beyond that, the food was amazing (Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo, Shrimp Etouffee, Bananas’ Foster). Connor was personable and immediately made me and the other guests feel right at home. I can't wait to take another class.

This experience even exceeded our expectations. We had so much fun, learned so many tricks & techniques & the food was delicious!! Connor was a fabulous chef & teacher!!! Such a fabulous activity!!!
