You will depart Rapid City at 8:30 am and travel to Mount Rushmore. You will spend time hiking around the monument. Next, you will travel to Crazy Horse Memorial, learning the importance and history of Crazy Horse. Finally, you will get an opportunity to explore beautiful Custer State Park. You will be able to see wildlife at an incredibly close proximity and enjoy the local flora. In each of these locations, you will gain unique and rare insight into the history of the Black Hills. Lunch will be enjoyed at an exquisite local restaurant of your choosing.

There is a two-person minimum to book this tour.

Our guide met us at the hotel right on time and provided a wonderful commentary on the back story of Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments on the way there. Spectacular photo ops along the Needles Highway, whenever we wanted to stop, was the ideal set-up to see the actual structures. Once there, we were shown many different angles of these incredible structures, as well as the accompanying museums and displays and some features the general public often overlooks. A bonus was stopping at some small towns along the way. A long day, but very satisfying.

We just completed the private tour. This had to be one of the best tours we were ever on. Our guide. Mike, was super knowledgeable about every place we went did not hurry us any place and everything was at our pace. . He was an excellent tour guide and I highly recommend this tour should you be visiting Rapid City. We learned a lot and we’re going home with many great memories from this tour. Black Hills Adventure Tours is one of the best companies we have dealt with through Trip Advisor.
