My husband and I had been in New Orleans for several days, but felt we hadn’t seen enough of the city outside the French Quarter and the Warehouse district where we were staying. Based on glowing TA reviews, we found Marc. To say he delivered would be an understatement! We were able to experience the vibrancy of the city through the eyes and experiences of a native; and as a bonus, Marc is a second-generation restaurateur, which gave us insights and experiences we would never have had with another guide. (Do you know who serves the best muffaletta in New Orleans and why? Marc does!) Marc listened to us about things that we were interested in, and tailored our tour on the fly, with many stops so we could get out and experience a certain neighborhood, or market, or historic home, or juke joint. We extended our tour for two days, including a stunning lunch experience at Commander’s Palace and an airport drop off. Marc is super personable, reliable and fun to be with, and we now consider him a friend. We have traveled the world and are generally independent travelers, but wouldn’t have traded this experience for anything. PS: After our trip, we read an online article entitled, “79 Cool, Hidden and Unusual Things To See in New Orleans.” With Marc, we had seen at least 40 of these, and many more not on the list!
