Seeing the Red Rocks Amphitheater was the highlight at least we could get to the top on a SAT, if not I would have been very disappointed at expecting to climb the stairs up. Evergreen town was a bit boring since it was 30 min and only enough time for a quick walk to the lake and a coffee. Perhaps in the afternoon it is more lively. The photo stops on the way to Echo Lake were nice but the lake was very small and seemed like a let down given it was at the end of the trip. Crew was very nice and engaging but all in all I would select another agenda, if I could have a do over.

This was a simple half day tour to main three spots mentioned in the details. The guide made sure to make a few photo stops along the drive. Don’t miss out on lake evergreen! On Echo Lake they will drop you off at one point and pick up from the other side of the lake. However, they will give you the option to chose whether you want to do the hike or not. One suggestion if you are like me who just wants to take in beautiful view of Echo Lake is to skip the hike around the lake and ride with the guide to the pick up point. The view from the pick up point is the best. A big part of the hike is through the woods where you won’t see the lake.

Phil is a friendly, knowledgeable and professional guide. His commentary addressed not only the geography, but also the geology, trees, and ecology of the areas . Especially enjoyed the hike around Echo Lake.
