The new Whitney Museum is awesome. It is a great space and has excellent exhibits. I love how wide open everything is and how great a building this is to house the art. Worth a special visit.

I enjoyed the location and the building. I am not sure how long they have been in this newer building. While I enjoy a good art museum of everything I did in New York this was the least value/experience. If you go you really need very little time to experience the entire collection. Frankly for the few pieces of impressive art, and there are a couple great pieces I would prefer my money back.

My wife and I were joined by her brother to visit this newly opened and relocated contemporary art museum. First of all it is right off the southernmost end of the High Line. Walking the High Line is a treat itself. We waited in a fairly long line to get in. Probably about 20 minutes to buy our tickets from start of waiting to actually getting inside the museum. The proper way to see the museum is to start on the top/8th floor and work your way down. After seeing each floor there are outside terraces that are "must stops" to see the beautiful views of the city skyline. The museum was crowded but not uncomfortably so. Plenty of room to move about and to observe the wide variety of art on display. There is something to everyone on display.
