We read the information about the length of the hike and kayak trip, as well as were told it would be muddy. The kayaking was fine, crossed the river, and that is when the torture began. We walked along this narrow path where it had been worn down by other hikers to what you might call it a narrow ditch where at times the mud was up to your shin. If you tried walking on the edges you often ended up slipping down into the ditch or falling. This goes on for well over a mile. You end up at a beautiful water fall, however the rocks are very slippery and makes it a little challenging. Then you do the trip in reverse, another mile or so trekking in sloppy mud and kayak back. Then, it is just you and the guide and it is implied you need to help him load the kayaks.. seriously? Why they cannot send someone from the company to help was ridiculous. Our guide was great, the hike not so much fun.

Aloha Mssnash,
Sorry to hear you did not enjoy the Waliua Falls Paddle Jungle Stream, It can be a bit challenging. Maybe next time you should try one of our tours on the Hule'ia River. It's much easier. You paddle one way with the wind to your back and get a motor boat ride back at the end. Hope we see you again.
