We were very disappointed to say the lease about our transfer from airport to hotel. Our flight came in early but it has no bearing on what happened with our transfer. We got to the service desk to call for the shuttle, and was told it would be no later then 30 minutes. 45 minutes later I finally went up to the desk again and asked about it. they called and said oh he's here now. We were escorted out to the curb side and waited for approximately 20 more minutes. At this time even our escort was very upset. When he finally arrived we drove up to the next gate or 2, our driver got out and said I'll only be a Minute we didn't see him for another 20 minutes if not longer. so from the time we arrived at the airport at 4:05 pm to the time we arrived at our hotel at 7:15 pm it was over 3 hours. to us that was unexceptable. Now I realize we hit rush hour traffic at this time, but if our driver had been on time I believe we wouldn't have hit the traffic as bad. Other then that we had a great time in the city. thank you for listening. Donna Hargroves
Our transfer was comfortable in a well-appointed, shared mini bus. However when I booked this tour in the UK I assumed the vehicle would cater for those who had booked online and meet us upon arrival. This was not the case. We reported to the appropriate desk at the airport and had to wait for the desk person to fill the bus with fellow travelers seeking lifts into Manhatton and then, when full, order the bus from a depot. This caused a wait of around 45 minutes - not great after a transatlantic flight.
It took a long time for the agent to arrive and when she did she then spent almost an hour with another rep over a mix up with who was to be collected and who wasn't. These individuals were eventually left. After a long journey and a wait for collection we were tired and just wanted to get to our hotel so it was not a good introduction to American service.
