We absolutely LOVED this luau! We’ve been to 4 luaus now and this one was one of the best! Definitely not a bad seat in the house! It’s small and intimate and the food was so incredibly good, especially the ube tart lol I can’t think of any of the food that wasn’t delicious actually. The MC was hilarious and there was a lot of audience participation! Our son is almost 2 and our daughter is almost 4 and the entire staff was so great with them. My son kept exclaiming “oh no!” during certain parts and tried to do his own haka yell so I know he had a great time! The story was fun and kept this from just being one of those luaus where they basically say, “Hi, these are all of the different dances of Polynesia.” Nothing against those, it’s very interesting, but they added a storyline to this one which made it more interesting since it wasn’t our first luau :) There wasn’t a single staff member who wasn’t helpful! My daughter fell asleep on me so the staff was incredible and insisted on helping me at the buffet line! I was so grateful! Definitely a wonderful event, I’m so glad we found it! As far as reviews about the setting, the only downside is that a lot of helicopters would fly overhead, but that entertained my son and husband so it wasn’t much of a downside. They have great decor up so you don’t notice any of the other background scenery and you truly feel like you’re at a great backyard party! The other three luaus we had been to were quite large and it wasn’t always easy to see the stage (even with preferred seating), but again, that is definitely not an issue here! The stage is elevated and they only have so many tables so the buffet line was literally just our table, then maybe one other person who went back for more (we all made multiple trips, even the kids loved the food). Loved this luau so much! We took family with us and the two who had never been to Hawai’i said that the luau was hands down their favorite part! Thank you Mele Luau!!! Don’t miss it!!!

We had a great time! This wasn’t our first luau and there was still something a little different any enjoyable. The crew was great and friendly. Food was good but they did run out of a few items. Definitely smaller than what you’re used to if you’ve been to others but I think that’s what made it better. A more intimate and personal experience. There was some performances that seemed out of place and not culturally appropriate but the story was good. The storyteller is awesome. My personal wish would be more haka and more warrior-esq dances. Mahalo!!

This is something that we would attend every time we visit the island. The food was excellent (buffet style with a variety of traditional cuisine). They did an excellent job of welcoming you and making you feel a part of the family. The show was very entertaining and interactive all while teaching you about the culture. Highly recommend.
