The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable.

Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes.

For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.

Liam was great. Good food, good conversation. The best gumbo in News Orleans was made in our cooking class. I can't wait to go back home and recreate the meal.

Awesome experience! Marc was a knowledgeable chef and led a fun class. Each dish we prepared was absolutely delicious. Loved trying some new dishes. Enjoyed meeting the other ladies in our class.

Chef Mark showed us so many tips and tricks to making great roux sauces, plus fluffy rice. He was very patient in answering questions and shared many of his experiences in the kitchen. He works very clean, which should be a great example to all home chefs. Everyone who attends the class participates fully in creating the meal, doing such things as cutting up the celery, de veining the shrimp and mincing the garlic. Our favorite was the chicken and sausage gumbo. We attended with another couple (that we didn't know) and had a fun time. It was definitely worth it.
