I have been on about 7 tours with my multiple visits to New Orleans. Strange Tours is by far the best. We took the walking tour and Jeffrey really knows his stuff. He will direct the tour to topics you are interested in. He has a true passion for the city and loves to talk about the strance history. I will book him again when I return to New Orleans.

My wife and I were on Jeffrey's "STRANGE TRUE" tour during the afternoon on Thursday, March 28, 2013. There's a reason he's referred to by some locals as "The Legend"... We have been to New Orleans more times than I can recount and have been on several tours with other companies. Now that we have met Jeffrey and completed this tour of his, we will definitely be both booking future tours with him and recommending others do the same. Much information was imparted to us during the tour. I even made notes on my iPhone on some topics/individuals for further reading. This is NOT a sightseeing tour, it is exactly as they promote it to be. Informative, true stories about the colorful history of New Orleans. We were very impressed with how knowledgeable and articulate Jeffrey is. He did not refer to a script or index cards, he just knows this stuff. If you have a particular interest and let him know that, he is able to discuss that during your tour. Several folks in our group were interested in the New Orleans connection with Lee Harvey Oswald and Jeffrey was able to blend in good information on that topic without making the entire tour about it (which would be very easy to do). Jeffrey was even so kind as to email me a recommended reading list on some of the topics that piqued my interests as well as other topics that he thought I might find interesting. I believe he offers a total of 3 or 4 different types of tours and based on our experience, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.

We took not one, but TWO Strange True tours during our visit to New Orleans. Jeffrey is a fabulous guide -- he's funny without being corny, very intelligent without being pompous. Do yourself a favor and support this business. You won't be disappointed and will likely learn a thing, or two!
