Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

My whole family tried surfing for the first time, and the instructors have us all the tips necessary to get up.

What a fun two hours in Waikiki. It starts at the Queen Hotel across the street from the Honolulu Zoo. Great meeting location as the hotel has bathrooms to change in, and a cafe with seating. After a safety instruction they take to the beach. We are a couple in the mid 60's that have never surfed before. However, this activity I would call strenuous for sure as you spend 30 minutes practicing on the beach followed by paddling out 1/2 mile followed by surfing. The instructors were first rate and they really know what they are doing. They take very special care of thier students and they really try to get you up and surfing. I have to admit, after and hour and a half I was tired and my instructor put his toe on my board and towed me all the way in to the beach. Lets just say he earned and extra tip!!. I would do it again for sure.

Pete and Charles were amazing! They really helped make surfing easy and accessible. I was able to stand up on my board after one or two tries.
