Amazing tour, our Dineh guide took us through some of the remarkable formations, sharing tales of his childhood, and history of his people. Simply remarkable way to see monument valley, I could not recommend it enough!

Tour guide was Pete a 35ish man of Navaho man and White mother living on his Navaho side he started slow but got better with each stop to very excellent at the last three stops. Sang a nice Navaho song in one of the traditional houses. We visited a native granddaughter of weaver. Mother also a weaver as was she. Pete well versed in local geography and geography. He was very accommodating but Could brush up on photography and geology. Many guides know just the right angles and framing. With those skills I would rate him an A+ instead of A-. The places you visit on this tour are spectacular and you will not see them otherwise, like eye of the sun and ear of the wind! They are way better than shorter tour sites, which are better than sites you see on your own tours. If not a busy day insist on open vehicle. But if dusty then an enclosed vehicle might be better or wear a bandana over mouth. Any pictures you have seen do not do justice!!

My husband and I enjoyed this tour very much. It turned out to be a private tour because it was just the two of us. Derek was our guide and he is very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with. We learned a lot about the culture and background of Navajo people from him. He also played the Navajo flute for us at the Big Hogan. The Monument Valley is one of the must see scenic sights in Arizona. The 2.5 hour culture tour is worth every penny of it. We highly recommended.
