What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Mitten View, Mitchell Mesa, Merrick Butte, Elephant/Camel Buttes, John Fords Point, Three Sisters, and Rain God. Backcountry: Chiefs Head, Big Hogan, Totem Pole View, Suns Eye, Ear of the Wind, and hogan demonstration.

If you are considering whether to drive yourself or take a tour I cannot recommend taking this tour highly enough. Our guide Harry was a real star, relaxed, fun and really informative in a way that we wouldn’t have been able to get from a self drive. Harry gave us a great insight into Navajo history and life in modern times. This tour was a highlight of our US road trip for my teenage sons. A 2.5 hour tour we will never forget!

This was an amazing tour of the park which took us off the set route which can be driven by visitors. Our guide gave us some insight into the Navajo way of life and the names of the rocks. However the tour was not completely as described. We were led to believe we would be collected from the hotel lobby but we had to go outside and find the tour. I feel it would have gone without us if we hadn't. Also bottled water was not provided and it can get very hot. We arrived at 4pm and were quite thirsty at the end. Worth it though!

Our tour guide Joseph Nelson made the whole experience one to remember forever. Joe's knowlwdge, humour and musical talent was amazing. The tour through Monument Valley was a dream come true and like starring in a movie. Thabk you Joe for helping to make our trip from the UK one we will never forget.
