We scheduled the tour for Sunday at 2pm in December. The weather was a bit chilly so suggest bringing a blanket, warm coat and hat to keep warm. The tour was absolutely incredible!! We had Edna as our tour guide and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She took us to all the perfect locations to see the horses and continuously checked in with us to see if we wanted to turn back or keep going to see more horses. Not only were the horses amazing but the amazing views of the beach and the small community on the beach was stunning. Edna filled us in on so much history outside of the horses, as well. We will definitely do the tour again and we will be requesting for Edna to be our guide again! Highly suggest it. Something you should not go without doing if you are in the Outer Banks! Side note: we went during COVID times and they were amazing with making sure it was socially distanced on the truck and not overbooked to maintain safety for the guests. We loved that!!

My family and I had an incredible time on this tour! Even on a foggy day we were able to see over 20 horses! Our guide was very informative and knew exactly where to take us. Everyone on the tour was also more than willing to follow all COVID guidelines throughout the entire two hours.

The tour company (Benders Beach Services) had an excellent local guide (Edna) who brought us to a few spots where there were no other tour vehicles. Her perspective gave the tour a more detailed and up close view. Only downside is that I wanted to see them in the beach. But we saw a lot grazing inland.
